A couple of weeks ago, I shared my thoughts on the Kiss Everlasting French set, which I really enjoyed and thought would be my favorite forever. However, after trying this new set that I ordered at the same time, I have to say, THESE ARE THE ONES! They perfectly match my style, especially since I’ve always been a fan of square nails.
For ten years (2004-2014), I had my nails professionally done. I loved the appearance but absolutely dreaded the time spent at the nail salon. My busy work schedule made it challenging to book appointments, and as someone who types a lot and quickly, I hated not being able to trim my nails whenever I wanted. Eventually, I decided to stop the salon visits. Now, with the ability to achieve that polished look anytime and anywhere, in a fraction of the time and cost, I don’t think I’ll ever return to the salon.
The most time-consuming part was matching a nail for each finger since this particular Kiss set doesn’t have numbers under the nails. However, the application took about 10 minutes. It’s definitely worth it, especially if you have an event and want the look of acrylics without the hassle or expense.
Just a heads up: this is my third time using press-ons since November 2022. I’m not the steadiest with my hands, and I had a little trouble with the glue this time. When I pressed down on my first pinky, the glue oozed out and got on my index finger. I thought it was dry after a few seconds, but that was a mistake. It kept transferring to every finger I touched, and by the time I finished, my thumbs and index fingers were covered in glue. I tried using acetone on a paper towel to clean it off without touching the nails, but it just made the glue whiter. After about an hour, it dried and flaked enough for me to peel it off. So, apologies for the imperfections in the photo—totally my fault. If you’re new to applying your own nails, give yourself some extra time in case you run into similar issues.
I’ll update when they start to pop off. The first Everlasting French set came off on day 8, so I’m hoping these last longer.
UPDATE: It’s DAY 14, and all 10 nails are still securely attached. There’s a bit of growth visible at the cuticles, and most of the nails are starting to lift slightly at the bottom, but it’s not noticeable enough to need more glue or worry about them coming off. They still feel really glued down everywhere else. I’m impressed!
I assumed all Kiss brand nails used the same glue, but for some reason, this set has lasted longer than the other two I’ve tried.
FINAL UPDATE: The first two nails popped off on Day 18!

The Real Short or Petit sizes fit my nails perfectly and allow me to carry out all my daily tasks without any interference. I found the Short size to be less comfortable in comparison. The Kiss Nude and French sets look incredibly natural, and I receive compliments all the time. For someone like me who tends to a chicken coop every day, KISS nails are a game-changer!
I really appreciate the handy little tabs that make applying the nails a breeze. I’m thrilled to have discovered the Real Short length at such an affordable price—only $54.07, including tax and shipping, for a 6-pack is an amazing deal.
Tip 1: Try to smooth out your nails as much as possible. My nails have a wavy surface, and I often skip this step, which leads to visible air pockets when I glue the nails on.
Tip 2: Avoid polishing your nails. Instead, use the provided file to roughen the surface to improve adhesion.
Tip 3: Opt for KISS Maximum Speed Nail Glue instead of the glue that comes with the set. While the included glue works, KISS Maximum Speed Nail Glue is exceptional—it dries quickly and holds firmly. When I need to remove the nails, I simply use the flat end of the wooden stick provided in the set to lift them off.
Tip 4: The glue is quite runny, so only use ONE drop of KISS Maximum Speed Nail Glue. While holding the tab of the nail, quickly spread the drop along the bottom edge of the nail. Apply the nail and press it firmly for at least 10 seconds in the middle, then on each side. Be careful not to use too much glue, as it can seep out around the edges and stick your finger to the nail, damaging the shiny topcoat.
Tip 5: Avoid washing or wetting your hands for at least 2 hours after applying the nails to enhance adhesion. Personally, I find that applying the nails right before bed works best for me.

I’ve been using these nails for over a year, and they last impressively long. I actually use Dollar Tree glue, yet the nails stay on for at least two weeks, even with my daily computer work, dishwashing, and cleaning. They never come off! I won’t be switching to any other set of French tip press-ons.
